Golf is a hobby of mine, and like many golfers, I wanted to understand the game better. I brought the same curiosity and care with evidence that I bring to my other writing to a question I could take out on the course. What actually helps us play better?

A Field Guide to Better Golf grew out of that inquiry. With more than 90 illustrations, it brings together practical decisions about how to practice, plan a shot, choose the right tees, and use technology wisely. I wrote it for golfers who want to understand the game more fully and enjoy it for a lifetime.
